Who am I as…
an Artist?
I'm a dreamy person, deeply in touch with my emotional side, and my creative process often involves looking inward and following my intuition. I love transforming everyday experiences into playful, surreal scenarios that encourage people to look at things differently. Nature inspires much of my work, reminding me of both its beauty and its fragility. Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how human actions affect the planet, and I’m excited to bring this theme more into my future pieces.
a Designer?
As a designer, my main goal is to understand people and empathize with the challenges they face, helping them find the best solutions through intuitive and thoughtful design. I strive to create user-centric experiences that are not only functional but also meaningful and engaging. Whenever possible, I enjoy drawing inspiration from art and incorporating elements of my own artistic style into the designs I create. I believe that adding a touch of art makes design more unique, bringing depth and meaning that sets it apart from the ordinary.
My work

As an artist, I explore the mix of reality and imagination through both analogue collages and digital illustrations. My collages incorporate found objects, layering textures, colors, and hidden meanings. In my digital illustrations, I create vibrant, whimsical scenes that transport viewers to otherworldly environments, inviting reflection on the beauty and fragility of nature.

I hold a bachelor’s degree in Media and Communication Design, with a strong focus on graphic design, advertising, illustration, and brand identity. This background has prepared me to create visually compelling designs that effectively communicate brand messages. Soon I'll also share my design projects in this website, so stay tuned!
Recently, I have been collaborating with brands dedicated to enhancing various aspects of living. For instance, I work with THE FIZZ, a company providing housing solutions for young students, and REALZ Pilates, which focuses on promoting health and body awareness. These experiences have enriched my understanding of how to design intuitive solutions that address diverse needs and demographics.
Why maan_darte?
My name is Amanda, but on Instagram, you’ll find me under the username "maan_da”. Manda is my nickname but also means send in Portuguese - which is my mother tongue by the way! "maan_da" started as my private account, but when I decided to share my art with the world, I wanted to keep a personal connection.
That’s when I created my art account, "maan_darte." In Portuguese, arte means art, so "manda arte" translates to send art! — which captures my passion for spreading creativity and sharing art with others. But there's more to it! This name also invites YOU to send me your art, I’d love to see your work and ideas so we can collaborate!
